A 72º edição do Emmy Awards ocorreu neste domingo (20) reunindo os profissionais de filmes e seriados em uma transmissão ao vivo, da casa de cada um. Para promover uma cerimônia em segurança, o evento contou com a entrega de prêmios na casa dos ganhadores, imagens de plateia fake e divulgação dos vencedores de diversas categorias ao longo da semana.
Com o objetivo de dar o tom da surpresa, o apresentador Jimmy Kimmel ficou responsável por anunciar vencedores de categorias como Melhor Atriz de Drama, Melhor Apresentador e outros títulos aguardados pelos fãs de cinema com grande entusiasmo. Entre os destaques, estão o reconhecimento de Regina King por “Watchmen”, bem como RuPaul em melhor apresentador por “RuPaul’s Drag Race”, e como artista mais nova a ganhar um Emmy, Zendaya na categoria de drama por “Euphoria“.
